Guisborough Bridge

About us

The Guisborough Bridge Association is a deeply rooted community organisation that plays a vital role in offering support, friendship, and practical help to local people in and around Guisborough.

Based out of the Guisborough Methodist Church, it provides a safe, welcoming space where individuals and families can access resources that ease everyday challenges and promote wellbeing.

Its work is grounded in compassion and the belief that no one should have to face hardship alone.

Among its key initiatives are several food-based services designed to support residents experiencing financial strain or social isolation.

These include the Food Stop, which offers affordable grocery support to Guisborough residents, and the Soup and Roll sessions, which give people the chance to enjoy a warm, simple meal in a friendly setting.

The Hot Food Friday meal and the Community Stop drop-in also offer nourishment and connection, creating opportunities for conversation, shared experiences, and informal support.

While each of these schemes addresses different needs, they all share a common goal: reducing isolation, easing financial pressure, and fostering a stronger sense of community.

Whether someone is seeking a hot meal, friendly company, or advice on where to turn next, The Guisborough Bridge provides a caring environment that welcomes all without judgment.

The team of volunteers and staff are known for their dedication and genuine care for everyone who walks through the door.
