East Cleveland Good Neighbours

East Cleveland Good Neighbours started in March 2020. It began as a volunteer group, supported by Tees Valley Rural Action. It was a response to the COVID-19 pandemic in rural East Cleveland. Local people came together to help neighbours who were cut off or in need. The group now covers villages from Brotton and Skelton to Loftus and Boosbeck. Today it runs a foodbank and gives out fuel vouchers. It also runs “Soup Funding”, which gives small grants to local groups. Anyone can get help. You do not need a referral or a voucher. The group hopes to become an independent charity in its own right.
