Footprints in the Community runs foodbanks and other vital services in Redcar, supporting people facing poverty, hardship, and social isolation.
The Redcar Area Foodbank runs a session at St Hilda's Church in Grangetown. It gives out emergency food to people who cannot afford everyday essentials.
It is part of the Trussell network. You need a voucher to use it. Local services give out the vouchers, such as Citizens Advice, a GP, a housing association or a support worker.
With a voucher, you get a three-day food parcel. Trained volunteers make you welcome and offer a safe space to talk. They can also point you to more help with the causes behind the crisis.
Local volunteers run the foodbank. Donations come from people, schools, churches and businesses.
